It all began when the founder, pregnant with her first child, watched as Canada started banning plastic straws. Determined to make sustainable choices, she supported the change, until she realized the replacement wasn’t much better. Each sip through a paper straw ended the same way: soggy, collapsing, and disappointing.
What was once a cherished daily ritual (an iced latte, a smoothie, or a comforting tea), had turned into a rushed experience. And in one of those moments, she thought to herself, “Life is too short to rush your drink.”
That thought became the seed for something bigger — Sip & Quench, a brand dedicated to turning everyday sipping into an intentional, beautiful, and sustainable experience.
The Turning Point
As the founder began exploring the world of reusable straws, she discovered that most options on the market came with compromise.
Some were made from cheap materials that cracked easily. Others left a metallic or woody aftertaste. A few looked nice online but arrived flimsy, difficult to clean, or impossible to carry around.
